I cannot begin how to thank everyone who remembered my day :). I was overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and greetings from friends and relatives abroad and back home. Again, thank you! An Aunt of mine commented that I am Ms. Congeniality because of the long birthday greetings in my wall hee hee. I was really overwhelmed. Thank God It's Wednesday and that only means one thing, I am working from home, hence blogging now. I swear this could have been my most grounded day of the week, why? Because I have to breathe a little and destress so I would be able to cope up with the rest of the week. If my week did not start out so good, I have to catch up with myself during this midweek-day and eventually I am back to being A-OK once again. I usually start my day by playing Oldies Songs in the background. This type of music usually centers me and give me that kind of feeling when you go to a meditation session. I guess it all boils down to the fact that I grew up listening to my dad's kind of music, yes, old songs you got it!

Now, I realized that my penchant for the American Idol is the fact that I am truly a music-lover. But I would also have to declare this self-realization that I am more gearing towards contestants who would choose songs that are classic and from way back in the olden times because I love oldies songs. I used to not really like Poker even if it were a free online poker kind of game. Anything to do with gambling, I tried to veer away myself from. Until a friend offered me a job that involves organizing poker events and eventually I was exposed to the various people who love to play poker online or for real. Oh boy, I am so not into the mood to work today. This crankiness and unproductivity started last Saturday when we finally bought a reliable weighing scale from IKEA. I was hoping that all my hardwork for almost half a year now paid off but surprise, surprise, I did not lose a single pound! Nada! Zero! Then I started to wallow into my own insecurities, I swear I just want to give it all up until this entry, I realized that I need to pull myself together. I have 3 more months to work really hard in order to get that Beach Body before our family reunion. Maybe reading about this 90 Day Review will bring me to the best yet effective Extreme Body Workout.

I do not know exactly what is wrong with what I am doing for the past 5.5 months. Religiously, I have been really working out and running and I do watch what I eat. Maybe, my metabolism just slows down when I reached 30s and I need a nutritionist to guide me so I can shed off the last 15 lbs. Ahhh, I know I want quick results but I have to put in mind too that I need to be patient if I want long-term results. My weight loss journey may be derailed from time to time but I ain't giving up on myself this time.

I have mentioned my desire to stay at home and focus on rearing my young kids and building this family as best way I know. However, with the kind of economy we have plus the fact that I did not marry a millionaire, I have to make sure that I do my part in finding ways on how to earn at home too. May it be online or offline but I have to earn as best as I could while I stay at home. Nothing is planned yet as of the moment, only options that I need to research on and discuss with my ever-dear hardworking husband. A friend recently concluded his irs exam and gave me a feedback that it is not actually that hard of an exam considering his non-accounting background like me.

I know it is suppose to be a long weekend on my side of the woods and I should be sleeping in and resting, but here I am working so hard as early as 4am. I do not want to complain any further as I know that my hardwork will pay off if not now, maybe in the future. Besides, I should be selfless knowing that I have a family to support, specifically kids to feed and husband to work with. Currently, my dear husband and I have been talking a lot about our future. Not only focusing on building our dream home and securing the kids' education expenses but more of where our career paths are heading. I have been considering a lot about staying at home and just simply focusing on rearing the kids the best that I know. However, with the tough economic stature we have right now, having 3 kids and living under a single-household income is just too hard to meet both ends. DH always reminds me how carefree and very spontaneous wife I was before DS came into our lives. I guess the word 'worry' was born the day we had DS! Like how the word procrastination was born the day I started graduate school!

Here's something I snagged from Alpha. Her blogs have wealth of inspiring thoughts :).

Do Less planning and worrying and future thinking. Spend more time in the moment. We worry too much, and it does us no good. We think about things that haven’t happened, instead of what’s happening now. And while some planning is necessary, too much of it is a waste of time — there’s no way to predict the future, and trying to control every little thing that’s going to happen is futile. Learn to go with the flow, look for opportunities, find the natural path of things, and do what is needed in the moment. You can’t control outcomes, but if you learn to work more fluidly (instead of rigidly following plans), you can get to outcomes that are good.

So yea, I am a work in progess in terms of letting go of all my worries :)

I hate this feeling, really. I do not want to feel guilty for things and events I shouldn't be but here I am sitting in this old, blue couch feeling it. I should just write it down to empty whatever I have inside. You see, I have been working my *ss off so hard the past year and for the last few months of 2009 up until 2010, I have given much more what is required of me. So when a huge opportunity came in January which would give me a chance to earn buckets and buckets of moolah, I thought, it would be, well, appropriate to reward myself. So I did, a couple of pair of Aldo shoes and that's it. One night, I was bored and was in my lowest moments, I turned to my release, surf purses over at eBay and voila! A beautiful designer purse was just a few minutes away for closing. Surprisingly, I typed in $175 without the intention of really winning it because I know it was an authentic designer purse and there were a lot of bidders but guess what, I WON! The bag was for me after all and I was even happier to confirm the authenticity of the bag. But bills are piling up right at this moment and yes, I feel guilty. Should I be? I wanted a variation in my everyday-full-of-chores kinda life. Call me pathetic for replacing or diverting this so-called episode with a shopping loot but yes, it helped me felt good even for just a few days. But did I have the wisdom I prayed and even fasted on when I did my eBay bid? Oh God, take away this guilt-trip in my head and please I want stability and yes, a full-time job that will awaken the old ME.

Wheee Mondays! Happy Monday everyone!

If most people hate Mondays, for some weird reason, I LOVE MONDAYS.

There is something about Mondays that makes me excited for the week ahead :). Anyway, looks like I will be really blogging less for the rest of the year. Summer Quarter started last Friday and boy I am swamped!

Why why do I have to deal with 2-3 economics courses? boohoo. Not to mention, my thesis is just around the corner.

Apart from school, I have been accompanying DH's cousin and his bride for their wedding preps. A trial make-up had been done last Sunday and although, I had fun, I was super tired haha! It's been a while, you see. I promised both of them not to post pics, so I won't :)

I guess by the time this year ends, I have mustered/mastered time management skills already. I have to veer away from unnecessary time online to complete my everyday to do list. So if I don't get to drop by your blogs as often as I could or return your comments and cbox messages, know that I am thankful for your visits :).

Also, I rarely check the number of subscribers in my blogs' feeds and was surprised to find out last week that my feeds subscriber have increased :). Thanks again.

I am a very fast typist, my last check was 65/wpm. This skill has been developed during my 7 years of encoding days(LOL!) in the Embassy. But, my friends in the Embassy are somehow pissed with the way I type, I have very heavy fingers which create terrible typing noise haha which, even my Mom, up to this day super hates it! During our promotion competitions/exams no one would ever dare to sit beside me as their concentration will be distracted by how noisy I type hahaha! Now, my 3-month old HP Pavilion Laptop which hubby gave me as his Thanksgiving Loot Gift, lost it's 1st key hay naku! Today is my most awaited day of the week, yet I feel like I am going to have a rough day. You see, the past days has been quite frenzy on my end and I am unhappy to tell you that I had been unproductive all throughout the week as well. I would not even begin to tell you that what made me busy was not even worth it. Yes, it's purging season on my end. I finished making back-up copies on photos and documents in my laptop as well as DH's PC. It took me almost 2 days to complete that particular purging task. Thanks to our neighbor who accidentally pull out and cut our cable, internet and phone connection, thus making me offline for almost 4 days. Restaurant Hopping

If there is one thing that my family, specifically me and my dear husband would do every weekend, that would restaurant hopping. We would usually start during the morning of Saturday, have brunch then dinner in 2 new restaurants we have not tried. Then come Sunday, we would end our weekend with a quiet sumptuous dinner on our favorite restaurant, somewhere we regularly eat. Obviously, we love food and this is also one of the reasons why we have been planning on opening our own restaurant someday. Probably, when we decide to retire from our 8-5 jobs. One fine afternoon, we had nothing to do and hubby being in the business development field asked me to get the laptop and a notebook and a pen. Dear hubby and I would often find ourselves daydreaming whenever we snuggle in the bed late at night or just about every day at our breakfast table having coffee. We may be opposites as we compliment each other's characters, but we have 1 goal in our young, growing and small family and that is to build our dream home within the next 5 years of our life. We both love kids and so we will definitely have a couple more kids and we wanted a huge backyard with a garden or patio that we could comfortable sit around while watching our kids play in our very spacious backyard. What a crazy day this Tuesday has become and I am just glad that I am surviving it. Seriously, it is only 1pm and my work day has not been over yet but I feel like I have had enough work that would last me the entire week. If only it would be so easy for me to charge myself under one of these usb battery chargers to feel recharged, I would. Yes, I am having too much work with too little time, too little sleep, hence, too little energy. But I have got to thank the power of innovative technology to keep me from consolidating my work easier, faster and much more reliable.

Just imagine a life without gadgets, can you still be at the same level of productivity as you are right now. This is the question that has been asked of me over and over again and my only answer is a residing NO. Because I got so used to the life surrounded by reliable and top of the line gadgets, I could not imagine living life without one. Although, there are days where I try to slow down and minimize my usage especially when I needed to charge my gadgets through this portable usb battery charger but to completely be able to survive 1 full day without a gadget, I cannot. Dear husband and I usually do this in the middle of the year to see whether we need to catch up with our savings, if we have been overspending so cutting down is necessary or the better news if we have been doing our homework thus we have a little budget to splurge in some important and sensible shopping or a leisurely trip. It is also that time of the year when most of our billing services contract would expire and thus going over through the current household budget will give us a head start whether we still need to keep or do away with a service provider. Currently, we are paying too much for our bundle plan for our landline telephone, cable TV and internet connection. Every time I tell my friends how much we were paying for this bundle, they always get shocked and would always refer us to get direct tv instead.

So I began my research with dx3 direct tv and found so many advantages with having a direct TV connection provided by dx3 over what we have now under our current cable provider. I just feel that the cost would not go down that much but the number of movie channels is definitely more than what we have now. My only concern is whether we would have the time to watch all the movie channels and maximize Direct TV's advantages.

Yesterday, DH and I drove randomly at my in-laws' house. We were surprised that the new baby in his side of the family was there being taken cared of by my GrandAunt. While the baby is very kind and fuzz-free, I still find it too alarming for my elderly in-laws to take care of him. Although, they are both very much physically fit, my GrandAunt slipped on their bathroom and had quite a sore in her right arm. It is good I brought my carpal tunnel support and I had to lend it to her while she is nursing the sore in her arm. However, I was not too careful putting it and I think I have hurt her even more. This is one of the reasons why even if I like to be part of the medical field, I could not because I think that I do not have the skills and passion for it. On the other hand, my brother who is currently a practicing surgeon wants to evolve and take additional consultant interview course and medical teaching course. Apart from his completed medical management course and teach the teacher course, he wants to move up into being a medical consultant.

It is very important that a person should be very passionate about what he does in life. May it be something lucrative, or something that does not come with monetary benefits for as long as they are happy with what they do, they will definitely enjoy the fruits of their labor.
